“Obsidian Rock – Lava Flow”
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock. This slab is a form known as “gold sheen obsidian”. The scene looks like a fiery lava flow on a starry night. It’s actually about a half inch across. Macro photography will always offer a new perspective to any subject. Most people never see the details you can find in “macro world”.
