JUS’CUS Tuesday ~ Two for Tuesday

"Building Abstract-Summit on the Park"

“Building Abstract-Summit on the Park”

This is a detail of the recreation center at Summit on the Park in Canton, Michigan USA. I love the curves and straight lines and how they move your eye all around the photo.

One photo, two completely different looks and styles. The first is more “normal” and representational.

The second is more abstract, helped by the fact it is now black and white.

"Glowing Building-Summit on the Park"

“Glowing Building-Summit on the Park”

This is a detail of the recreation center at Summit on the Park in Canton, Michigan USA. In this version I added a bit of glow after converting it to black and white. The idea is to give it an infrared look and feel.

What’s the point? No photo is ever really complete. I read an article about Ansel Adams where he mentions reprocessing fifty year old photos when new chemicals or new photographic papers came out to see if he could improve his photos. Don’t stop shooting and don’t stop trying new things. You just might be surprised with the outcome.
